Laura Hoehn represents nonprofit organizations and political committees on corporate, tax, and campaign finance matters.  She works with a variety of clients, new and long-established, to provide practical solutions that manage legal risk and respond to legal threats, protecting her clients’ interests while achieving their mission and goals.  Ms. Hoehn has more than a decade of experience as General Counsel for a national nonprofit membership organization, and more than two decades of service in the nonprofit sector as a volunteer, senior manager, and attorney.

She counsels nonprofits at all stages, including formation, ongoing operations, amending governing documents, mergers, and dissolutions.   Ms. Hoehn provides advice and training related to nonprofit governance duties and policies, and negotiates contracts for her clients with business vendors, as well as program partners.  She also advises clients seeking to protect their name, logo, and other content, and works with clients to implement best practices regarding third-party content and effectively respond to libel and related threats to free speech activities.
